Dreams come true

Together we carried six six-foot planks of wood and a chair across town
and transformed them into something beautiful.

Drilling holes seems easy enough

4/23: I make a paper model to explain my vision for the curve.
We have concluded that the curve will be made with wooden pieces strung together by wire.
Fatou and I make a model using scrap wood and wire. The model bends and holds shape with tension.

Preliminary models and sketches

4/23: Fatou proposes a double-chair and the class decides that that is what we shall build. We agree that the back of the chair should be planar and we spend time developing ideas for the base. We settle on a curved base as it will be more visually interesting than the other ideas.

Camraderie

My ideas for two-person objects are a little silly, but that's what I like about them.

My sketch needs improvement. The new backscratcher would be curved instead of having sharp angles.

Instead of sharing two legs, they will share one leg and each have one leg of their own for a total of three leg holes in one garment.

Success is defined by personal level of improvement
